The fantastic food and hospitality experienced at Reef Resort is not a coincidence. Josef and Renate culinary background is from Switzerland and Germany. After working as a professional chef for many years with leading Hilton Hotels around the world, they opened their own restaurant in Switzerland with Gault & Millau (one of the most influential French restaurant guides) rating. They then decided to sail around the world before finally settling in Tonga.
We serve breakfast, lunch, freshly baked cake for afternoon tea and a 3 course dinner daily. Reef Resort has no set menu. We discuss our guests preferences and source the produce from the local market.

The deep pacific ocean surrounding Vavau provides an abundance of seafood. The freshest Tuna, Wahoo, Coral Trout, Snapper and Lobster all feature.
Organic locally grown produce is the main source of seasonal vegetables and fruit.
Organic meat and chicken is flown in direct from NZ and compliments the local Vavau produce perfectly.
It is this unique set of fresh produce combined with Josef's and Renate's professional background and philosophy that makes the culinary experience at Reef Resort so special.

Reef Resorts restaurant and bar is beautifully appointed featuring exposed wooden beams and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that can be folded away to create a fantastic indoor/outdoor space with beautiful views.

The restaurant has a large deck allowing you to enjoy breakfast alfresco or dine under the stars.
The bar offer a good selection of wines and spirits for the dinner or sundowner cocktail.
